Woodlawn High’s Fellowship of Christian Students and their sponsor James Daniels conducted a ceremony to present Children’s Cup with a $6,600 check to build a water well in Swaziland, Africa. Children’s Cup is a missionary that brings food, clean water, medical care and hope to “throw away” kids so they can become world changers.
The students raised the money with the help of Healing Place Church, Woodlawn Baptist Church, Baker Printing who donated $2,400, Rock Star Racing, Chick-Fil-A, Alexander’s Market and Children’s Cup. The Fellowship of Christian Students were very gracious for their generous donations and thanked them with certificates.
The FCS has about 130 members and is one of the largest and most influential student groups in this area. The school is very excited about what the students have accomplished in order to give back to those who are in need. Children’s Cup has already began drilling the well near a school/training center for young adults. The students are proud of all their hard work and excited to finally see it paying off.
