FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Baton Rouge, LA – As the school year comes to a close, students in several North Baton Rouge elementary schools are completing their first season in a new soccer program. The Elementary Soccer League was formed this school year as the result of a $25,000 grant the district was awarded in December of 2015. Five schools in the north Baton Rouge area have provided students with tutoring and soccer practice after school for the past several weeks. Students are divided into teams by grade level. There is a Pre-K & 1st grade team, a 2nd & 3rd grade team, and a 4th & 5th grade team. The administration, faculty, staff, and parents have been very supportive of this league. Below please find a schedule of the final two weeks of play.
