Students across East Baton Rouge walked from their classrooms to outdoor fields and parking lots on Monday afternoon to view the solar eclipse.
Elementary students laid out blankets on the schools’ fields or simply stood and looked up to view the solar eclipse.
There was lots of excitement throughout the district.
Teachers created lesson plans on the solar eclipse, incorporating video and instructing students on how to safely view the eclipse.
