East Baton Rouge Parish School System received a 67.2 District Cohort Graduation Rate for 2014-2015 when the Louisiana Department of Education released cohort graduation rates Monday. The score represents a 1 percentage point increase over the previous year, which district administrators hope to use as a starting point for a comprehensive plan to improve student outcomes.
“We are looking at this data as a baseline. These rates are based on the graduating class of 2015. This is an issue we have been addressing well in advance of this release, and have plans in place to make dramatic improvements in this area,” said Superintendent Warren Drake.
