A total of 29 East Baton Rouge Parish School System seniors were honored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as 2020 Merit Scholars in either the Semi-finalist, Commended, or Hispanic Scholar categories.
The seniors were recognized during a reception at the district’s Instructional Resource Center on Thursday, October 17, that was attended by their principals, school faculty, school counselors, school board members, district administrators, family, and friends. They were also recognized immediately following the reception at the district’s monthly board meeting.
