Self-contained Gifted classes and Gifted resource classes for grades kindergarten through grade five, STEM and Destination imagination programs, 1:1 device ratio for upper grades, and smart boards in all classrooms all add to the superb learning environment at Shenandoah. Students perform in outstanding musical productions, dig into creative gardening and other lessons in their outdoor classroom, lunch and learn outdoors, collecting data from their weather station, monthly Fun Family Night, an annual Spring Carnival, reading and math buddies, Manners of the Heart, and School Spirit Friday all help to make this U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School of Excellence worthy of the title. String classes, drama, cultural arts, Girls on the Run Club, and a variety of sports instruction through the P.E. Department make for an exceptionally well-rounded school program with a dedicated staff.
