About our School

This small middle school nestled in a quiet neighborhood brings with it a wide variety of academic opportunities with a history of success. Glasgow Middle School offers Gifted, Scholastic Academy, Great Scholars, Advanced, Traditional, Talented art, music and drama programs. Principal Howard tells her students daily they are the best middle school in the parish because that is their goal: to be the best! In addition to monthly club days, there are ongoing Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) competitions and rewards, annual Fall Fest, and Spirit Week.

A Wide Variety of Opportunities

Students can participate in football, basketball, volleyball, softball, cricket, soccer, and track. Glasgow was selected as the top school at the Louisiana Science Fair for seven consecutive years. The school boasts three (of four) members of the state Mathcounts Team who competed at the national competition in Washington D.C. Ms. Geeta Dave, the Talented Visual Art Teacher, was selected as a 2018 Golden Educator Resident in which she participated in a two-week painting residency in upstate New York and will be participating in a group exhibition at the Painting Center in New York City. In July 2018, The Classical Outlook, a journal for teachers of Latin and Greek, published a paper written by teacher Ms. Nathalie Roy that centers on her Roman Technology class.
